Our Story

Started with my own kids.

BootHug started after one too many snowy days of emptying snow out of my kids’ boots.

Regular boot straps slipped off barefootwear and stopped doing their job once kids started moving. Wet and cold feet were not an option, so I started looking for a better solution.

I tested materials, shapes and attachment systems until I made one that actually stayed on.

What started as one mom’s solution for her own kids, made on a hand-powered leather sewing machine, has grown into a practical outdoor product now used by families internationally.
